At our weekly golf get together, I carried a new bag and left all my ball markers in my regular one. A friend loaned me a marker. The next week, same thing happened. I didn't think about the ball marker all week, so I forgot to put one into my alternate bag. I played with the same friend who remarked kiddingly, "Here. You've had a week to correct this." I felt as if I was back in the third grade, with the teacher admonishing me. It wasn't the incident, it was the words she chose.
Similarly, when we visit our families at holidays, we feel as if we should sit at the kids table. It matters not how old or successful we are. Our parents know how to push the time warp buttong.
If age is relative, why not focus on whatever makes us feel young, and take that exuberance into whatever we do, whether it's watching an animated movie, looking at cat videos on the Internet, or playing golf. You are as young (or as old) as you feel. What age would your like to be? Act as if, and maybe you cant urn back the hands of time.
