We also saw how people step up when needed and come together in unity to help and to praise others who helped as well.
For me there was another event. As a minister, I am privleged to officiate at many baby blessings. I did one last Saturday on the beach in San Diego. One of the lines in my ceremony is, "One look into their (the babies) eyes, and you're never the same."
Looking into the eyes of a two month old child, you see his innocence and serenity, with dad holding him lovingly in his arms. At this moment, love is all he knows. And he has a great adventure in store for him, an adventure called life.
There is a rhythm to all life, the seasons when flowers become dormant, only to come up again in the springtime. No matter what is going on in your life, look for that spark that tells you in the midst of devastation, there is always life and love.
