Yesterday I was listening to an interview with Missy Franklin, the multiple gold medal winner in swimming. She was debating whether or not to turn pro. A sports agent said that since Missy was only 17, she didn't have to make the decision today. The reason?
Swimming is the one sport where longevity is possible, because it's very hard to injure yourself. Think about it. Short of pink eye or water in your ear, it's hard to injure yourself swimming.
Swimming or just paddling in the water is a great way to loosen up the sore muscles, walking in a pool is exercise with no impact - you can even run holding one of those noodles, without pounding your joints on the cement.
Try it! If you don't have one where you live, go to a local Y or LA Fitness or?
Your body will thank you!
