Last week I felt fat (size 6) so decided to do some bicycle crunches to tighten up my midsection. Don't know if I succeeded in my goal because 5 days later, I could hardly bend over. I trashed my back. The good thing is that I know what to do.
I took a hot bath in Epsom Salts, iced my back and rested it, got a great massage and saw Dr. Cherie, my chiropractor, who put my back back (yes, back back) in place. And I stopped playing golf for a few days.
What I learned is that I can do crunches, but on an exercise ball, which supports my back.
Senior fitness is possible and fruitful. But take precautions. (I'm talking to myself).
